What this website does not do

The website sets no cookies and uses neither local storage, session storage nor any other storage in your browser. It contains no contact form, no user account and no content loaded from third-party services such as fonts, maps or videos. For this reason there is no consent banner.

Audience measurement with Matomo

To know which pages are read, we use Matomo, an open-source analytics tool, in a self-hosted installation. It is configured to work without cookies and without storing anything on your device. Your IP address is anonymised (at least the last two bytes are removed) before it is stored, and a browser signal Do Not Track is respected: in that case no visit is recorded.

The data recorded are the pages visited, the time of the visit, the referring website, and the type of browser, operating system and screen. They are used only for statistics about this website, kept for a limited period and not shared with any third party.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process the data contained in your message, such as your name, company, email address and the content of the message with any attachments, in order to answer you and follow up on your request.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These messages are kept as long as needed to deal with the request and to meet our legal retention obligations.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. As with any website, the host's servers record technical data for each request, such as the IP address, date and time and the page requested, for security and operating purposes.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise these rights, write to info@verascius.com.
